Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PillControl ("we", "our", "us") handles information when you use the PillControl mobile app.
1. Data We Process
- Medication schedules, reminders, doctor visits, and related app content that you enter.
- App settings (for example language and notification preferences).
- Purchase/subscription status needed to unlock premium features.
- Device and usage information related to advertising (for example device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data), collected by third-party ad partners when ads are shown.
2. iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud on your device, app data may be synced through Apple's CloudKit services so your information can be available on your Apple devices. Cloud data is stored in your private iCloud container under your Apple ID.
3. How We Use Data
- To provide core app functionality (reminders, schedules, and history).
- To synchronize your data across devices (if iCloud is enabled).
- To manage subscription access and restore purchases.
- To display advertisements and measure ad performance through third-party ad networks.
4. Advertising
PillControl may display third-party advertisements. Ad partners may collect and use device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to deliver, personalize, and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
On iOS, you can limit ad tracking in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and reset your advertising identifier in Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising. A paid subscription may remove advertisements.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your app content with third parties except where required to provide core platform services (for example Apple services such as iCloud/CloudKit and StoreKit) or to display advertisements through third-party ad networks.
6. Data Retention
Data remains on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account until you delete it. Removing the app or disabling iCloud may affect data availability.
7. Security
We use Apple's platform security features and APIs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to use commercially reasonable safeguards.
8. Children's Privacy
PillControl is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to request deletion.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. For device/iCloud data, you can manage or remove content directly in the app and in your Apple account settings.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
